Une mésentente entre agriculteurs et éleveurs tourne au vinaigre dans un camp de Lou, arrondissement de Kalalé-centre, commune de Kalalé ce mardi 14 avril 2020. Tout est parti d’une altercation entre deux bouviers Peulh et deux agriculteurs originaires du village de Lou dans un champ les appartenant. L’un des bouviers Peulh était au sommet d’un arbre en train de chercher des feuilles pour nourrir leurs animaux quand les deux agriculteurs se sont opposés à cette action. L’un d’eux fait usage de sa lance-pierre contre le jeune bouvier toujours à la cime de l’arbre. Il continue à tirer sérieusement sur le jeune bouvier ; ce qui n’a pas plu à l’autre bouvier qui rassemblait les feuilles cueillies. La riposte de ce dernier ne s’est pas fait attendre. Il sort son coupe-coupe tranchant et coupa les deux mains de leur agresseur l’une après l’autre. Très dépassé par cette acte à la limite barbare, il accoure vers la maison pour alerter les populations de leur village. Celles-ci se sont mobilisées comme un seul homme et ont agit en représailles en se rendant dans le camp Peulh de leur vis-à-vis appelé Kamassoul situé vers la frontière entre le Bénin et le Nigéria vers Gawézi. La tension monte d’un cran et surplace sur les lieux, avec un esprit surchauffé et une colère exacerbée, les envahisseurs réduisent le village en ruine.

On dénombre 78 habitations en cabane, 38 greniers de maïs et de sorgho, une somme de 2 millions 483 mille Naïra et 8 bêtes tous réduis en cendres et un mort dont un enfant. Les autorités communales de Kalalé ainsi que le Chef traditionnel du village nigérian dont dépend le camp de Kamassoul se sont rendues et ont essayé de calmer les esprits déjà surchauffés du côté du camp agressé. Il urge que les autorités au plus haut s’impliquent le plutôt possible pour ramener les deux parties à fumer le calumé de la paix.
